VMS Ventures Inc. has one of the largest land
positions in Manitoba’s prolific Flin Flon - Snow Lake Volcanogenic
Massive Sulphide (VMS) belt. The largest is held by Canada’s HudBay
Minerals (HBM-TSX) with mines and mills in both Flin Flon and Snow Lake
and a base metal smelter in Flin Flon. |

More than 30 VMS deposits, rich in copper-zinc as well as
gold and silver, have been discovered in this belt.
To date, ore worth more than $29 billion has been produced from 24 mines. This
is one of the most prolific Proterozoic greenstone belts in the world for
volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) deposits.
The belt’s average 5 million tonne VMS deposit has a gross metal value of over
$1.5 billion. |

The Reed Project,
Manitoba
The Reed Project is located within the Snow Lake
portion of the Flin Flon - Snow Lake Greenstone Belt approximately halfway
between Flin Flon and Snow Lake. The project consists of claims optioned from W.
B. Dunlop Ltd., HudBay Minerals Ltd., a Mineral Exploration Lease and claims
staked by the Company. |

The
Cover Project,
Manitoba
During fiscal 2006, the Company announced that it
had staked claims in its ‘Cover Project’. The Cover Project, which has been
expanded by the addition of a MEL, refers to properties that are located within
a part of the Flin Flon – Snow Lake VMS Belt that lies beneath a layer of
younger flat-lying sedimentary rocks. The older steeply dipping Precambrian
volcanic rocks that underlie the flat-lying limestones host copper- and
zinc-rich VMS deposits in this belt.

The
Copper Project,
Manitoba
This project consists of claims staked by the
Company, two MEL permits and Mineral Lease 28. Mineral Lease 28 includes the
Copperman VMS deposit. Drilling on the Copperman property in 1967 by Western
Nuclear Mines Ltd. indicated that the “A” zone contains 149,672 tonnes with
3.08% Cu and 3.08% Zn. Combined reserves of 221,308 tonnes with 2.63% Cu and
4.46% Zn were reported in Manitoba Mineral Deposit Series Report 21. The Copper
Project includes the Copperman deposit and more than 20km of highly prospective
volcanic rocks that extend southwestwards as far as Hudbay Minerals Silvia Zone.

The Puella Bay Project, Manitoba
The Puella Bay Project includes a claim optioned
from Ken deGraff and a large adjoining area staked by the Company. Previous
exploration and government reports indicate that the Puella occurrence contains
widespread pyrite mineralization and near solid laminae of pyrite, sphalerite
and galena as well as minor chalcopyrite and arsenopyrite. The known
mineralization on the property occurs within a large body of felsic volcanic
rocks.

The Sails Project,
Manitoba
This project, situated approximately 20 km east of
the town of Snow Lake consists of a claim optioned from Ken deGraff and
additional claims staked by the Company. The property was prospected for gold
for many years. Exploration for VMS deposits in the late 1960’s intersected up
to 7% Zn over 0.6 m in an area considered by the Company to be highly
prospective.
