VMS discovers 2.25% Copper, 3.17%, Zinc and 1.39 g/t Gold over 51.98m (170.54 ft), including 8.49% Copper, 5.07% Zn and 4.91 g/t Gold over 4.57m (14.99 ft)

3 March, 2008

Vancouver, B.C., March 3, 2008. VMS Ventures, Inc. (TSX.V: VMS) (the “Company”) is pleased to provide an exploration update at its ongoing program at the Reed Project Discovery Zone near Snow Lake, Manitoba

Highlights:

RD 08-20      51.98m (170.54 ft) grading 2.25% Cu, 3.17% Zn, 1.39g/t Au

·  Including: 4.57m (14.99 ft) grading 8.49% Cu, 5.07% Zn, 58.28g/t Ag and 4.91g/t Au

RD 08-14:    31.42m (103.48 ft) grading 1.03% Cu, 4.57% Zn

·  Including: 11.34m (37.20 ft) grading 1.77% Cu, 6.26% Zn

RD 08-16:     3.63m (11.91 ft) grading 2.15% Cu, 3.43% Zn

Vice President of Exploration, Dr. George Gale states: “Drill hole 20 is significant not only for the length of the interval intercepted, which exceeds 50 metres, but also because the mineralized interval begins at about 30 metres below surface.”

Two drills are operating at the Discovery Zone. One is exploring the Discovery Zone mineralization down dip and to the west. The second drill will test the southwest trending geophysical anomaly detected in the first phase of the Deep EM survey and in the area of VTEM anomalies.

The data from the 2007 airborne geophysics and geochemical surveys on the Reed project are compiled and interpreted. A third drill will initiate reconnaissance style drilling on these targets over the next four to six weeks as winter conditions are ideal.

A Deep EM geophysical survey is complete over about one-third of the Discovery Zone. The Company decided to expand the size of the geophysical program, which requires additional grid lines. Preliminary interpretation of the Deep EM data supports the interpretation of data from the VTEM airborne survey in this area. Importantly, the Deep EM survey has identified a strong conductive body that deepens to the southwest and appears spatially related to Discovery Zone mineralization.

Last week, the Company started a Horizontal Loop-EM and ground magnetic geophysical survey, which provides higher resolution of shallow conductive and magnetic anomalies. This survey will provide better target definition and enable more precise drill collar location at the Discovery Zone.
