One of the biggest challenges facing a speculative investor AND each “junior”
exploration company is to determine potential value. Once the estimated costs of
extraction (mining) and the potential deposit size have been determined, a
project may be deemed 'economic'. This will have an enormous impact on the value
of the company's shares. This is why we are in this business and why there has
always been a dynamic investment market for exploration companies.
Once you've read our VALUE PROPOSITION for each property, we hope you will come to
understand why we've chosen them to find a mine. While this is not a prediction
of what will happen, we will provide you with information on each of our base
and specialty metal projects. Each location is, we believe, prospective for a
deposit much like the ones we describe on our project pages.
For each of VMS Ventures Inc.’s projects we attempt to provide you with the following:
1. Geological Rationale: Why have our geologists recommended this property
package? What is the geological setting and why is that important to possible
discovery?
2. Host Rock Rationale: What specific geological information have we learned from
historical data and our exploration activities that suggests economic deposits
can exist on this property?
3. Comparable Discoveries: What are some examples of economic deposit
discoveries in similar geological settings? How big are they? What might that be
worth in Gross Metal Value today?
4. Market Capitalization Impact: Market capitalization or “market cap” is
calculated by multiplying the number of shares, issued and outstanding, by the
current share price. By calculating the potential Gross Metal Value and
discounting it appropriately, we can provide a sense of the impact that a
discovery on any property could have on the market cap of our company.
